Recap: Pack, Cook, Dial Win NC One-Day Series at Bryan Park GC (Players Course)

On Monday, July 24, the 2017 Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour played the NC One-Day Series event  at Bryan Park Golf Course. Bryan Park, home of the UNCG women’s golf team, is a brilliant course for this one day tournament. The event features a field 52 players from the PKB Girls’ Golf Tour, the nation’s largest “girls’ only” junior tour .

In the Prep Series today, a sudden death playoff determined first and second place.  Both Emelia Pack (Browns Summit, NC 2019) and Ryann Sinclair (Mooresville, NC 2019) shot 1-under 71. Pack won the playoff, landing her in first place on the day. Sinclair claimed second place.  In third place was Kayla Ward (Raleigh, NC 2018) with a 74.  In fourth place was Sasha Hayes (Winston Salem, NC 2020) with a 75.  In fifth place was Muskan Uppal (Cornelius, NC 219) with a round of 76.

Winning the Futures Series was Victoria Cook (Reidsville, NC 2020) with a round of 77.  A scorecard playoff determined second and third place. In second place by one stroke was Macie Burcham (Greensboro, NC 2021) with a 78.  In third place was Morgan Ketchum (Winston Salem, NC 2022) with a 78.  In fourth place with a 79 was Laney Wessels (Sophia, NC 2021).  In fifth place Abby Hunter (Blacksburg, VA 2021) with an 80.

Winning the Discovery Series was Madison Dial (High Point, NC 2025) with a 41. In second place, just two strokes back was Ella Yu (High Point, NC 2023) with a 43.

The PKBGT returns to action this weekend  with the NC One-Day Series at Bermuda Run on Saturday, July 29!

The Peggy Kirk Bell Girls’ Golf Tour is an initiative of the Triad Youth Golf Foundation, a 501(c)3 non-profit foundation aimed at increasing learning and playing opportunities for youth golfers.
