2012 ORDER OF MERIT EXPLANATION

In each division, a season-long points/scoring system will make up the Order of Merit.

Player's standing on the Order of Merit will be based equally on:

• PKB Points earned through participation in all spring and summer events of the tour. Points in an event will be awarded based on the number of players in the field, with the 1st place finisher getting a 5 point bonus. Events will be weighted on the following scale:

  • TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP - 3x
  • MAJOR CHAMPIONSHIPS - 2x
  • TWO DAY CLASSIC EVENTS - 1.5x
  • ONE DAY OPEN EVENTS - 1x

• Scoring Differential (your score in a round minus the course rating) average in these events

TOUR CHAMPIONSHIP QUALIFICATION

Prizes for the Order of Merit Champion will be awarded at the Tour Championship in September. In addition, the final Order of Merit Standings will determine the invitation status for the PKBGT Tour Championship.

PKBGT INVITATIONAL QUALIFICATION

The PKBGT Invitational will conclude the tour season. Players may qualify through various avenues including finishes in the final PKBGT Order of Merit Lists, Major Champions winners, State Golf Assoscation Champions and more. Non-PKBGT members may submit an application to participate. In addition, multiple Fall Preview Qualifiers will be held to earn an exemption.
